Tomorrow the Under 17 squad will be having their last training sessions for the Karnival Futsal Harian Metro Grand Finals at Sports Planet Ampang.
11 players were shortlisted for the Finals. The current shortlist has to be whittled to an official 8 man squad. The final list will be announce on Monday (9 July).
Since winning the Kedah Circuit last April, the team have been loosing the last 2 tournaments at the quarterfinal stages. But their mind were focussing for the Grand Finals and they know what it takes to win the coverted trophy this year.
Coach Muhamad Hafiz will be in for his 4th consecutive Metro Finals since 2009. He coached RSP (Remaja Semangat Pejuang) for the last 3 editions. RSP were the runners-up in 2009 at Penang.
Meanwhile coach Gozal will be expriencing his 3rd Metro Finals, which saw both of his senior mens team, HMC-PiC A & B qualified for the 2009 edition in Penang. HMC-PiC A won fifth placing. His ladies team Damas FC qualified in 2009 & 2010. He retired in 2011, after he had to undergo an operation for his knee. But at the end of that year he made his return to the futsal arena.
